Objective: To study the effects of benefiting the spleen, nourishing yin and promoting blood circulation method on P16 and C-myc in model rats of precancerous lesions of gastric carcinoma(PLGC), and its reversing function on pathological changes of gastric mucosa. Methods: In this animal experiment, the total of 120 rats were randomly divided into the normal group, the model group, the Chinese Medicine group and Western medicine group. The other three groups except normal group were induced to PLGC models by comprehensive method for 13 weeks. After the PLGC models were successfully made, the rats of the Chinese Medicine treating group and Western medicine contrasting group were treated by corresponding methods. The rats were killed and drawn materials after 12 weeks. The histological change of gastric mucosa of PLCG was observed by light microscope and the expression of P16 and C-myc in slices of precancerous morbid tissues of gastric mucosa were measured by immuohistochemistry. Results: The pathological change of model group rats was more obvious compared with the normal group, and the expression of P16 decreased remarkablely and C-myc increased significantly. In Chinese medicine group, the expression of P16 increased significantly and C-myc decreased remarkablely than that of model group. Pathological changes of Chinese medicine group compared with model group and western medicine contrasting group have distinct differences(P<0.05).Conclusion: The rule of benefiting the spleen, nourishing yin and promoting blood circulation can increase the content of P16 and C-myc in tissues of PLGC and partly reverse pathological and histological change in gastric mucosa. It has the function of treating PLGC.
