Clinical Significance Of FHIT Protein Expression In CIN And Cervical Cancer Occurrence And Development

Objective:To discuss the significance of abnormal expression of fragile histidine triad proteion in the process of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer and their relationship with clinical pathological feature..Methods:50 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and 41 cases of Cervical cancer (CC) are included. The expression of fragil histidine triad protein were evaluated by immunohistochemistry (powervision). 40 cases of chronic cervical inflammation were included ascontrol group.The statistical software-SPSS14.0 was applied to analyze the results.Results:1.Reduced expression proportion of FHIT in chronic cervical inflammation was 5.88%.The decreasing or depletion incidence of FHIT were 34.0% in CIN,The decreasing or depletion incidence in cervical cancer was 55.56%. the difference were all obvious(p< 0.0 1).2.Reduced expression proportion of FHIT in CINI,CINII-III were 12.50%,44.12%. there was significance between CINI and CINII-III(P<0.05).3.Reduced expression proportion of FHIT in histological gradeG1,G2,G3 squamous carcinoma were 58.33%,65.00%,77.78%,there was none of significance among three groups(p>0.05).4. Reduced expression proportion of FHIT in clinical staging were 58.82% in stage I-II and 100% in stage III-IV , there was significance between two groups(P<0.05).5. Reduced expression proportion of FHIT with lymph node metastatic was 87.50% and nolymph node metastatic was 52.00%,there was significance between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion1.Expression of FHIT protein decreases gradually with the development of cervical lesions which in cervical chronic inflammation,CIN and cervical carcinoma .It can be served as an indicators of monitoring lapes of CIN and provides reference of diagnose of the early episode of insquamous cell carcinoma.2.FHIT expression has correlated to lymph node metastatic in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and FIGO stage,which provides reference foundation to predict prognosis in squamous cell carcinoma.3.Expression of FHIT in CIN and cervical carcinoma ,which suggested that FHIT might participate in the occurrence and development of cervical squamous cell carcinoma .It may play an important role in carcinogenesis of squamous cell carcinoma.
