| Objective:The gout is a set of specificity, metabolic disease which caused by the allopurinol metabolism disorder and (or) reduce of uric acid excretion. Clinical characteristics manifest as hyperuricemia, repeated attack and acute of single arthritis, sodium urates crystals form the deposit of the gout stone, the chronic arthritis of gout stone, the serious situation can cause the osteoarthritis oa and the trouble of joint motion, even malformation. The acute gouty arthritis is the head of the most familiar symptoms and the basic type of gout. The large medical workers launch extensive researches to the gout. However, fewness treat the sufferer as a social person——which means commence from the sufferer's variety of quality of live. Along with the development of the modern medical modes (biology-psychology-society) and the change of spectrum of disease, the main curative effect indexes of traditional biomedicine mode, such as incidence of a disease, fatality rate and cure rate... etc. increasingly can not satisfy the demand of current medical science field. The Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) evaluates curative effect of the acute gouty arthritis usually take patient subjective feeling as basis, but the diagnoses standard of TCM lacks accurate index sign and as well lack a description to the mental status and the social attribute.This research draws up to use the SF-36(36-item Short Form Health Survey) Quality of Live scale which is accepted by international extensively to study the influence about quality of live of the acute gouty arthritis patient who used the Golden poultice. Find the clinical support about QOL to Chinese medicine treat the acute gouty arthritisMethods:This research will divide 60 sufferers who match the acute gouty arthritis diagnosis into treatment group (is 30) and matched group (is 30) according to the methods of random grouping. The course of treatment is 7 days. Observe the varieties of sufferer clinical symptom, and use the SF-36(36-item Short Form Health Survey) Quality of Live scale to evaluate the QOL of sufferers, and take the above-mentioned data to statistics analysis.Results:(1) The aspect of symptom and sign:The clinical scores of symptom and sign about two groups of cases after curing is descend obviously. Through the matched samples T test, it has statistical significance (P<0.05). After curing, comparison among groups, through independent samples T test, the scores of treatment group of symptom didn't overmatch obviously control group. It have no obvious statistical significance (P>0.05). (2)The aspect of total clinical effect:Treatment group total effective rate is 76.67%, matched group total effective rate is 70.00%. Be examined by Chi-square test, total effective rate of two groups has no obvious statistical significance (P>0.05). (3)The aspect of Quality of Live:Through the matched samples T test, two groups both have obvious statistical significance (P<0.05) after treatment at every aspect.Through independent sample T test, the difference of two groups about score of QOL have no obvious statistical significance (P>0.05). (4) The aspect of untoward effect and safety:The treatment group totally appear 1 untoward effect case, the safety rating is 2 classes; The matched group totally appear 8 untoward effect cases,2 cases'safety rating is 3 classes, which can continue to use medicine until research be over after symptomatic therapy,6 cases' safety rating is 2 classes. Be examined by Chi-square of test, treatment group case at untoward effect and safety statistics is lower than matched group. The difference has obvious statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of the Golden poultice to the acute gouty arthritis sufferer is remarkable, and it has no obvious statistical significance with matched group, but obviously, surpasses matched group in the aspects of safety. Golden cream can goodly improve sufferer's quality of live at physiology, spirit and society each level of etc. Lead the quality of live (QOL) analysis into study of Chinese medicine's treatment at the acute gouty arthritis has important significance.
