Effect Of Shuganheluo Granula On Sperm DNA Integrity Of Patients With Male Infertility

Objective During investigating the effect of Shuganheluo granula on sperm DNA integrity of patients with infertility,to explore the possible action mechanism of the sperm DNA damage and the right treating method.Methods Forty-eight patients of infertile male with the value of DFI more than 10% were selected in and randomizedly divided into tow groups, experimental group treated orally with Shuganheluo granula and controlled group treated orally with Vitamin E respectively both for three months.Firstly,sperm DFI was detected by AO Test Assay,semen routine parameters by CASA,and the results before and after treatment between tow groups were analyzed.We used SPSS11.5 to analyse clinic datas,just p＜0.05 considered as significant.Result Before the treatment, the DFI has no obvious correlation between semen quantity,Rapid motility sperm,forward motility sperm,total motility sperm,seminal plasma fructose, alpha-glucosidase and acid phosphatase (all the P＞0.05); the DFI was negatively correlated with sperm density (P＜0.05),positively with the malformation rate(P<0.05). After the treatement with 3 months, Both of the tow groups had no significant differences in the semen volume,the time of semen liquate, sperm density,total sperm count,rapid motility sperm,forward motility sperm,total motility sperm,seminal plasma fructose, and acid phosphatase(all the P>0.05). Both of the tow groups had significant differences in the malformation rate and alpha-glucosidase (all the P<0.05),but after compare of the tow groups,there has no significant differences(all the P> 0.05). Both of the tow groups had significant differences in the change of the DFI(all the P< 0.05),but the experimental group changed more significantly(P<0.05). Both of the tow groups had no significant differences in effectiveness rate (P＞0.05).Conclusions " Yang transform qi and Yin shaping up body" may be the theoretical foundation of sperm DNA damage. The imbalance function of External Kidney can be the main responsibility for sperm DNA damage.Harmonizing qi and blood is the necessary condition for normallity of spermatogenesis.Shuganheluo is one of the methods which can be used to treat sperm DNA damage. The Chinese medicine Shuganheluo granula seems one of the chooses which can improve the sperm DNA integrity.
