The making porcelain in Song dynasty had taken a very important position in the history of making porcelain in ancient China, which broke through the"North-South blue white"porcelain development layout, forming the thriving scene of"the kiln systems appeared and the products were diverse."Particularly the Ru kiln, the Xiuneisi kiln and Jiaotan kiln were the most representative; the above of them had existed in the transmission of technical relations. From the fabric of the glaze and matrix, the Xiuneisi kiln and the Jiaotan kiln inherited the tradition that the Ru kiln had used the alkali-lime-opaque glaze, making the strongly jade-texture porcelains. From the types and forms of porcelain, in addition to continuing to make the porcelains that the Ru kiln had made, they had also made numerous ancient bronze sacrificial-vessel mode porcelains according to the needs of the royal family worship. From the constitution of the furnaces, they succeeded to the horseshoe-shaped ones that the Ru kiln had used. And on the basis, they applied the dragon-shaped furnaces in the light of local terrain conditions and the tradition of making porcelains. From the mode of burning, they developed the way that made the body of porcelains firing with some small nails on the burning tools of pies, which the Ru kiln had taken advantage of. And in accordance with the needs of new technology, they could reasonably select the mode of burning. Not only different from the"tribute kiln"in nature, but also were diverse from the"official kiln."The Ru kiln was a transitional one from folk kiln to official kiln, which were particular about the raw materials .The structure of furnaces were reasonable and the technology of firing the body of porcelains before glazing were applied which showed that the production of Ru kiln was truly intervened by the government, having certain quality of official kiln. The Xiuneisi kiln and Jiaotan kiln were different from the Ru kiln, which occupied the large proportion of sacrificial-vessel mode porcelains in all products, which would be used in the important ceremonies and the ordinary people could not make use of them. It underlined the characteristics of"official kilns"of the Xiuneisi kiln and Jiaotan kiln. Therefore, it was also the progressive development in the regime of official kiln from the Ru kiln delivering to the Jiaotan kiln The porcelains in guan kiln stood for the highest level of making ones at that time, which were also condensed the wisdom of workers that had promoted the quality of porcelains in guan kiln while facilitating the technical progress in the folk kilns. Thus they had a solid foundation of overall prosperity in making porcelains in Song dynasty.
