Language plays an important role in human society it is the tool of human communication and thought. Even thought there are dozens of different languages in the world, and all language systems vary widely, people still can communicate with each other by their different languages. We can conclude from it that there must be some general character between different languages. But they are certainly different from each other because they belong to different types of languages in the long run.Chinese and Laos belong to different types of languages, both similarities and differences also exist. This article will compare and analysis the syntax of Chinese and Laos as the grammar of modern Chinese linguistics theories as the main theoretical guidance. This article will present more comprehensively and systematically about elements, structure feature in various types of sentences between Chinese and Laos and its similarities and differences, so that the learners of Chinese and Laos will have a more complete understanding to syntax of Chinese and Laos. It will do help students to grasp the language of what they have learned and further enhance their ability in using each other's language and then promote cross-cultural exchange between two countries. This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is an introduction, outlines the purpose and significance of this study, the methodologies it used, the recent research status from home and Laos, the source of linguistics material and data and the innovation of this research.The second and the third chapter are the main parts of this article and it will compare and analysis the sentence and sentence syntax of the Chinese and Laos comprehensively and systematically as well as its structural features and the similarities and differences.The forth chapter is the conclusion of the article.
