China's economy has made remarkable achievements as the reform and opening-up policy was carried out continuously and deeply. As a result, "Chinese fever" has risen gradually. Language is not only a tool of communicating, but also a carrier of culture. How to make foreigners say authentic Chinese, and understand Chinese culture well, has become a big problem that people teaching Chinese as a foreign language are facing.Although many scholars have paid attention to the phenomenon of "R-pronounced", and also there are many works of this aspect, most of these researches are merely confined to the ontological study. The problem of how to teach foreigners to use R-pronounced Words-especially the required reading R-pronounced Words effectively has not been studied widely. This thesis deeply discusses the issue of how to teach foreigners to use the required reading R-pronounced Words on the basis of ontology.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the general introduction. At first, this paper introduces the background of selecting this topic, the purpose and significance of this study. Then it clarifies several conceptions about "R-pronounced". At last it talks about the current situation of research.The second part is the determination of study object and the explanation of the used materials. There are many factors that influence "R-pronounced", which lead to that some words can be used as R-pronounced Words, some must be used as R-pronounced Words. The thesis provides two principles to judge which words are the required reading R-pronounced Words.The third part is about the analysis of the required reading R-pronounced Words. It is one of the key parts of this paper. By consulting the predecessors'research results, it analyses the required reading R-pronounced Words in the perspective of pronunciation, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. Then it sums up some rules that are good for Chinese teaching and some problems teachers should pay attention to.The fourth part is about the teaching of the required reading R-pronounced Words. This part mainly talks about how to teach foreigners to use the required reading R-pronounced Words, which is another key part of this paper. It puts forward a teaching method called "the combination of distributed teaching and concentrated teaching". And it also concretely illustrates how to teach foreigners to use the required reading R-pronounced Words in the perspective of pronunciation, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.The fifth part is the conclusion. It summarizes the main points of this paper briefly, and points out the limitation of this paper.
