In Ming and Qing Dynasties, the socio-economic development in the Pea River Delta was rapid, many profession departments such as mining an metallurgy industry, the salt industry, the sugar industry, the ceramics productioi weave production's maintenance and development, as well as the fast growin population of the Delta, needed massive supply of fuel. The traditional fuel mainl included the firewood, the coal and such constitutes, in Ming and Qing Dynastie the Pearl River Delta's fuel especially took the firewood as a large amount. Alon with the fuel demand gradually increased, the Delta area started present th shortage of fuel, the firewood price surged upward, the fuel's gain range als expanded, from the Pearl River Delta extended to other areas of the province, eve approached other provinces. Although it had sorts of risks and diffcultes during th fuel transportation process, however, because of the big demand of the fuel in th Pearl River Delta, enganging in the firewood trade became profitable, so the fue profession and market appeared. The production and the people's life in Pea River Delta area needed huge fuel, the large demand of fuel had big influence t the environment of the Delta area and the upstream mountainous, brought serie of environment questions. Faced the increaing worsen ecological environment da after day and the deficient forest resources, people tried to seek the solutio strategy, apart from forbited to cut the water source forestes and geomanc forestes,,people also planted trees and grasses on the mountains, carried o reasonable usage of the forest resources, with economy developed, it eased th environment pressure of the mountainous area in the certain extent.
