The Antonym is one of the most complex categories in Modern Chinese vocabulary system, which is also occupied an important position in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This article first surveyed the teaching antonyms in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, by investigating the "Curriculum" requirements, the "textbook" design of the content and practice, found that the teaching antonyms is a weak link in vocabulary teaching. Therefore, based on the antonym in the modern Chinese vocabulary system, this article comprehensively described phenomenon of the symmetry and asymmetry Antonyms, from the Yes/ No marker theory, explained the reasons for its formation, deepening the asymmetry of the antonym of modern Chinese. Using the form of questionnaires, the author analysised the causes of the errors in antonyms learning by foreign students, proposed that teaching antonyms should follow the principles of foreign language teaching strategies, discussed the antonym of teaching methods under the antonyms of symmetry and asymmetry principles,and improved the efficiency of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Full-text is divided into three parts:introduction, body, conclusion.Introduction briefly reviewed antonyms and asymmetric bias of relevant studies of modern Chinese vocabulary. And described the scope of this study, the method and possible problems.Body part from the following three parts:First part, the teaching antonyms investigation in the current teaching of vocabulary. At first, investigated the "Curriculum" requirements and processing; followed by analysis of the "textbook" design of the content and practice; finally found that the teaching antonyms is a weak link in vocabulary teaching.Second part, the antonyms of modern Chinese Ontology. Based on the traditional lexicology, from the mark theory, comprehensively described the phenomenon of symmetry and asymmetry of the antonyms, and explored the reasons that were caused by symmetric and asymmetric phenomenon of the antonyms.Third part, survey and research of the foreign students learning antonyms. Surveyed the results of foreign students learning antonyms by questionnaire, the author can understand and master the main issues arising in the course of foreign students learning antonyms. According to the phenomenon of errors in the questionnaire, summed up the causes of errors. And discussed teaching principles which should be followed in Then, proposed some suggestions about several aspects of vocabulary teaching antonyms. Finally, with this article and the research results, based on classroom needs, designed the antonyms of a teaching case.Hope that our analysis can improve the effectiveness of teaching Chinese students, improve student learning efficiency, but also hope that the analysis can contribute to the development of foreign language teaching.Conclusion of this study summarized the overall content and pointed out the inadequacies of this article in order to provide a reference and help for the further study on the future teaching Chinese antonyms asymmetry principle.
