The Relationship Between The Career Planning And Personality, Social Support Of Physical College Freshmen

To understand the status of career planning of physical college freshmen , to analysis the factors which influence them make career planning, and to explore the relations between physical college freshmen'career planning with personality factors and the level of social support, we adopt cluster sampling method, select separately come from Institute of Health Sciences, Economics and Management, Institute of physical education amount to 299 freshmen to complete three questionnaires. Three questionnaires includes self-designed undergraduate Career Planning Questionnaire,16 Personality Factors Questionnaire (16PF) and the Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS),then all of the date were analysis by t he Statistical Package for Social Science(SPSS)17.0.Results:1 Before the freshmen enter university, 88% of students'social relations are very support with students enter university, only a tiny percentage of 0.3% against it, the level of social support were significant differences when students'social relations have different attitude with enter university.2 Before the freshmen enter university,the proportion of students are anticipate obtain professional knowledge, the capacity of deal with affairs and approaches of problem-solving respectively accounted for more than 80% of the total number, there are significant differences in some Personality factors when exist different expectations about the University.3 The situation of students'conflict in the heart after the college entrance examination, 41.3% of the students deem the conflict does not exist, that is bent on going to college, and the rest of the students have some degree of inner conflict, in which the proportion of most conflicts arise is the universities and repetition.4. The students'subjective feeling after they enter university, 45% of the students feel the space they can play capabilities is relatively small, 60.8% of the students felt the decision space is relatively small, 62.8% of the students felt they can dominate the less spare time. there are significant differences in the level of students'social support when they have different feeling about the space of play capabilities.5. After enter university the status of real feeling of freshmen, 67.6% of the students feel college life did not meet the expectations of the university before, 58.6% of the students are not satisfied with the current university, 55.9% of students thought that they present relatively poor state,There are present significant differences in some personality factors when students have different real feeling about university.6. After enter university the situation of freshmen'planning, 52.5% of university students think they do not have plans, 25.4% of students admitted they do not have plans completely, there are significant differences in the level of students'social support when students have different plans,and there are significant differences in some personality factors.Conclusion: For freshmen of university of physical education, the situation of personality and social support are basically good,but not for the career planning status,there present differences in personality factors and social support status when freshmen have different situation of career planning. Manager of education should be based on the specific circumstances of particular students for career planning education.
