The purpose of this writing is designed to specifically examine both the historical features of Ye and Ye's heroes to look into the relationship with the Tang Dynasty poetry and hope this show of the kinds of effects that Tang Ye brought to the region.This discussion is divided into four sections: first, Ye and the retro style of Tang poetry; Second, Ye's status evolution and the poems of Ye of Du Fu; Third, Ye and Tang poetry's acceptance to Cao Cao; Fourth, the symbolization of men of letters of Ye in Tang poetryThe first chapter discusses the relationship between the features of Ye and the retro style of Tang poetry. Although the Ye of Tang has been no longer in existence, many of Ye's geographical style, beliefs and habits have been retained. Men of literature who passes this city laments on it thus composing many poems to cherish the past. People in Tan dynasty even bring a city back to life in the poems with their literature imagination. West garden and copper bird pavilion are the most prominent ones.The second chapter deals with the change of Ye's social place and poems composed by Du Fu on the theme of this city. In Tang Dynasty, Ye is the political and military capital. Its social place is reserved. Because of the siege of Ye and Du Fu's miserable suffering, he composed eight poems on the theme of Ye during the An Lushan rebellion, which is an important part of his epic.The third chapter analysises the acceptance of Cao Cao in Ye and poety of Tang Dynasty. Cao Cao is the first one who makes Ye a capital which leads to the prosperity of this city. Poets in Tan Dynasty always link Cao and the city together to accept him. In early and prosperous Tan Dynasty, people shape Cao Cao as a hero with knowledge and strength. Other poets in middle and late Tang Dynasty not only focus on Cao Cao's contribution but also criticize his character defects and faults. What is interesting is peots in Wu and Yue shape a wicked hero of Cao Cao when they link him and Ye together.The last chapter talks about the symbolization of men of literature in Ye in poetry of Tan Dynasty. There are a great number of poems related to men of literature in Ye. Those poems are quoted in scholars'communication both in private and in public in Tan Dynasty and eventually result in the symbolization of"Zi Jian's poem","Wan Can's stepping on building", "Liu Zheng's sick","Cao and Liu","seven peots","the intelligence of Ye"and so on.
