The Current Situation And Prospects Of Chinese Teaching In Thailand

The Thais have always been interested in Chinese, and now they have been showing an especially stronger desire for Chinese in past 20 years. Since the Thais have been aware of the great importance of Chinese in living and business, from my point of view, I do think it is necessary to introduce the current situation and to predict the prospects of Chinese teaching in Thailand in four chapters.Chapter 1 : Introduction to the current situation of Chinese teaching in Thailand. It consists of two points: firstly, the history of Chinese teaching in Thailand; secondly, the prosperity of the Confucius Institute in Thailand.Chapter 2 : The main reasons for the prosperity of Chinese teaching in Thailand. First, political reason, mainly referring to the strong support from the Thailand and Chinese governments, and the royal family. Second, economical reason, because Chinese language will promote the cooperation between Chinese and Thai's economy. Last, cultural factor, mainly because of the efforts of the Thailand Chinese in the development of Chinese.Chapter 3 : Introduction to the current situation of Chinese teaching from the following aspects: educational institutions, teaching status, learners, teaching materials, teaching syllabus, forms of Chinese characters, and application of Chinese.Chapter 4 : Prospects of Chinese teaching in Thailand. It is to talk about it from two aspects: objective factors, about globalization of Chinese, the support from the royal family of Thailand, the positive policies from the Thailand government, the help from Chinese government, and the promotion of the Thai Chinese; subjective factors, enthusiasm of the Thai Chinese in seeking roots and the practical demands.
