In modern Chinese, "verb + de + modal Complement"has a high frequency of use. Its syntactic structure is more complicated, so it has always been the key point of a lot of linguists'studies. Although"the monosyllabic adjective + de + modal Complement"also has a high frequency of use as well as"verb + de + modal Complement", the specialized research on"the monosyllabic adjective + de + modal Complement"is still rare. The modal complement after the word"de"in this modal are various, and the semantics and the syntax functions are rich, which are worth us studying.Chapterâ… The introduction part mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the thesis' topic , overview about related research topics, as well as the theory , methods and instructions of this thesis.Chapterâ…¡We do a comprehensive description for the complement parts of the structure with 8 representative monosyllabic adjective we selected ,and sum up the structural characteristics of complements. It summarizes the classification of"the monosyllabic adjective + de + modal Complement"in the sentence's syntax function.Chapterâ…¢sums up the semantic type of complements in the structure"the monosyllabic adjective + de + modal Complement"from the semantic point of view, and analyze the features of its syntax and semantics from the semantic point, negative expression and the semantic focus.Chapterâ…¥From the diachronic view, we analyze the origin and the grammaticalization of "de" after the monosyllabic adjective We also do a research on path of the "de" 's grammaticalization from verb to the sign of complement Meanwhile, we summarize the construction and metaphor types of"the monosyllabic adjective + de + modal Complement".Chapterâ…¤it analysis the south Korean' similar structure with Chinese structure"the monosyllabic adjective + de + modal Complement"and sums up the different categories finally.
