Trying to discuss that how the locus of control among personality traits and social comparisons influences subjective well-being of university students, the study aimed to deepen students understanding of subjective well-being status, to improve the subjective well-being levels, and promoting physical and mental development can draw upon and reference information. We have two studies. In the first study, we investigate the influence of social comparison orientation and locus of control towards college student's subjective well-being. In the second study, we discuss how implicit social comparison and explicit social comparison, the upward comparison and downward comparison influence college students subjective well-being.The study results show:First, the main effect of sex, only children and region is not significant, the interactive effect of sex, only children and region is not significant. College students'subjective well-being of different sex, only children and region are not remarkable.Second, the social comparison orientation and the locus of control are relation to college students'subjective well-being; Opinion comparison orientation has negative correlation with subjective well-being. The locus of control has positive correlation with subjective well-being.Third, college students'subjective well-being of different social comparison orientation and locus of control are remarkable. The low score of the social comparison orientation is higher than the high score on the index of general affect. The external control of reinforcement got more subjective well-being than the internal control reinforcement.Fourth, the social comparison orientation and the locus of control had a significant forecast effect on subject well-being. The variance of subjective well-being can be explained by the locus of control, opinion comparison orientation, and ability comparison orientation.Fifth, the locus of control is the mediating factor between the social comparison orientation and the subjective well-being.Sixth, implicit social comparison and explicit social comparison have different effects to college students'subject well-being, and are influenced by the locus of control and upward and downward comparisons. Seventh, upward and downward comparisons influence well-being without certain corresponding relationship, and its main effect isn't distinct.
