Self-development has great significance for individual growth. University is an important period of individual self-development. Students of this period have unique psychological characteristics. In the face of the impact of abundant information, their behavior to a certain degree is inconsistent with their thinking, but the actual performance out of their behavior will affect their self-development status. Therefore, this thesis attempts to study the self-development of college students from the perspective of individual self-development behavior. In this study, the behavior that is conducive to the individual self-development is called behavior of promoting self-development and the behavior that is not conducive or not conducive to the behavior of individual self-development is called behavior of hindering self-development. This study is from four aspects, which are locus of control, social comparison orientation, subjective well-being and behavior of self-development, to conduct a questionnaire survey on 318 undergraduates of four universities in Anhui Province. The data analysis results show that:1. Behavior of promoting self-development is significantly positive with internality, capacity of social comparison orientation, concept of social comparison orientation, general subjective well-being, life satisfaction and positive emotions, negative with opportunity and passive emotions. Behavior of hindering self-development is positively related to the powerful others, opportunity, capacity of social comparison orientation and passive emotions, negatively related to the general subjective well-being and positive emotions.2. Through passive emotions, capacity of social comparison orientation, general subjective well-being and positive emotions, locus of control has the function of predicting the behavior of self-development. Through capacity of social comparison orientation, positive emotions and passive emotions, locus of control has the function of predicting the behavior of promoting self-development. Through capacity of social comparison orientation, passive emotions, general subjective well-being and positive emotions, has the function of predicting the behavior of hindering self-development.This study will help us from a new angle to look at the self-development of college students, attention to the behavior generation of promoting the self-development of individual college student.
