Subjective well-being,as an important part of positive psychology,has been done a lot of research and discussion on by scholars at home and abroad.It is found that locus of control and self-worth have important influence on the subjective well-being of individuals.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among subjective well-being,self-worth and locus of control in junior high school students,and how self-worth and locus of control affects subjective well-being.On the one hand,it enriches the theoretical content and research data of subjective well-being.On the other hand,it provides some references for improving subjective well-being of junior high school students,which can help to better guide the development of education activities of junior high school students.This study selects one of the villages and towns in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.There are 613 students,including 280 boys and 333 girls.Students' Life Satisfaction Scale prepared by Huebner,the Chinese Positive and Negative Affect Scale for Student revised by Chen wenfeng and Zhang jianxin according to the Bradburn scale,Multidimentional Measure of Children's Perceptions of Control prepared by Connell,and Self-worth Scale prepared by Huang xiting and Yang xiong are used to measure it.Research results:The average life satisfaction score of junior high school students is 3.91.The three dimensions of subjective well-being(life satisfaction,positive emotion and negative emotion)have significant urban-rural differences.Negative emotion has great differences in terms of gender and grade,and life satisfaction has significant differences in terms of income.The three dimensions of locus of control of junior high school students(internal control,control of the influential people,and unknown control)are positively correlated with negative emotion.And the internal control is positively correlated with life satisfaction.The locus of control of junior high school students can influence their subjective well-being.The global self-worth,the social-oriented general self-worth,the individual-oriented general self-worth,the social-oriented special self-worth and the individual-oriented special self-worth of junior high school students are positively correlated with life satisfaction and positive emotions while they are negatively correlated with negative emotion.The self-worth of junior high school students can influence their subjective well-being.The locus of control of junior high school students can influence subjective well-being through self-worth,among which the self-worth is the intervening variable.Conclusions:1.Junior high school students' life satisfaction is at a moderate level,and girls' negative emotions are significantly higher than that of boys.Compared with junior high school students in township schools,urban schools students' life satisfaction is higher,positive emotions are more obvious,negative emotions are less,and subjective well-being is stronger.2.From the first grade to the third grade,students' negative emotions shows an upward trend.The third grade students are more depressed and pessimistic than the first grade students.The family economic situation affects the subjective well-being of junior high school students,and the subjective well-being presents a growth trend with the increase of family income.However,after a certain amount of income,the subjective well-being of junior high school students is not greatly affected by their family economic situation.3.Subjective well-being has a significant correlation with locus of control.The more internal control junior school students have,the higher life satisfaction they will get.And the control of the influential people will lower their life satisfaction,leading to the increase of their negative emotions.4.Subjective well-being is closely related to self-worth.The higher self-worth junior school students have,the higher life satisfaction,the more positive emotional experience and the less negative emotional experience they will get.Therefore,they feel happier.5.Locus of control can directly influences subjective well-being through self-worth.The more internal control junior school students have,the higher life satisfaction they will get.The control of the influential people and the unknown control can negatively affect their emotional experience.Meanwhile,the locus of control of junior high school students can indirectly influence their subjective well-being through self-worth.
