According to the basicly materials of the prehistorical painted pottery in Turfan, and by means of stratification and typology. This graduation thesis takes a typologyical inquiry into the genealogy of forms and decorations by examing carefully their stratification of Yanghai cemetery and combination at some typical sites.Equal emphasis is placed on the change of pottery forms and that of their designs. so we can learn about the rise, development process of the Yanghai'painted pottery. Pointed out that characteristics and specificity of the pottery in Yanghai. By comparison with the other cemetery of Turfan, which reveals the relationship between time and interaction. According to the theory of archaeological culture was analyzed the differences between the Yanghai culture and Subaisi culture,We believe that the two cultures is relatively independent. Above all, we have known the transmission line of the painted pottery in Turfan was along with the Tianshan regions .The specifity of the pottery in Turfan is because of the Turfan oasis's environment is unique. Turpan prehistoric pottery from the Bronze Age lasted until the Warring States period and it shows that prehistoric Xinjian links with mainland China can be traced back to an earlier Bronze Age.
