The traditional ethnic minorities trading pattern in Xinjiang is the carrier of multi-culture of different ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, which is not only closely related with the long history, local characteristics and cultural activities in Xinjiang, but also identify with the cultures of different ethnic minorities themselves, together with the functions of recognition towards regional culture of people out of Xinjiang. Hence the advantages of traditional ethnic minorities trading pattern exist in every city. However, its existence is also contradictory with the rapid development of cities to some degree, which put the traditional ethnic minorities trading pattern in a special state.The present paper takes traditional ethnic trading pattern in Xinjiang as the research subject and does an analysis on the possible reservation plans on the traditional ethnic trading pattern in the process of the urbanization of cities in Xinjiang. Based on the theories of socio logy, folklore, economy, the modern city planning and business district designing, the present paper aims to analyze the functions and values that traditional ethnic trading pattern in Xinjiang in the process of its urbanization. The research methods of Literature review, field investigation, and sampling analysis are adopted in the present study, which all together help do a systematic and in-depth research on the application of the traditional ethnic minorities trading pattern in the ethnic minorities business district in modern cities in Xinjiang. With the investigation results, the present study finally points out some creative ideas and suggestions from the perspectives of reservation, undertaking and recreating.The present study includes five chapters. Chapter one means to discuss the main problems, including research scope, aims, significance, structures, research methods, previous studies, limitations and the implications of the present study. Chapter two introduces the background, concepts and the present situation of traditional ethnic minorities trading pattern in Xinjiang. Chapter three discusses the values and significance of the traditional ethnic minorities trading pattern in modern cities in Xinjiang and focuses on the significance of it in the process of the modern city development in Xinjiang. Though analyzing dispute behind the different phenomenon, some suggestions on the reservation of tradition ethnic minorities trading pattern in Xinjiang are raised. Chapter four and Chapter five proposes the rebuilding plans of the business district of ethnic minorities to the existing problems and causes of the traditional trading pattern of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, attempting to make the traditional trading pattern of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang in a better state.The existence of traditional trading pattern in Xinjiang during the process of modern urbanization fits for the geographical, cultural and trading features of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, and the reservation of which is not only the undertaking, development and further protection of the regional culture, but also the assure of the identifications of cities, which may further represent the social respect towards tradition and self-development pattern in modern society. Therefore, the present study provides some suggestions on the traditional trading patterns of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang in the process of its reservation, which finally aims to achieve the goals of showing city cultural characteristics and unique images and finally establishing the self-development pattern of modern society and city orientation.
