The Responsibility Of A Fiction Translator: Reflections On The Translation Of The Real Thing

Abstract: Fiction translation falls into two successive phases. Translators should do the right things in each phase. In the first phase, we emphasize the importance of the translator's feeling after reading a fiction. Given the characteristic of fiction, it is important to focus on the tiny details which can provide more information and can make the translators understand better. In the second phase, the translators should upbuild a model of the original fiction and recreate it on the base of the thorough understanding of the original work.
