The Study On "Xinhua Dictionary" Tonal Sound Symbols Show Source

This paper regards "Xinhua Dictionary" as the research object, studying on the more detailed research of the "Xinhua Dictionary" in the form of sound character and sound operators, and on the basis of the Phonogram sound symbols of Indicating the Origin, thus reveals the characteristics of era which contemporary Pictophonetic character possesses the function the phonetic symbols of indicating the origin.Phonetic word is an important component of Chinese characters, and the scholars of the "Modern Chinese common words table" and"Xinhua Dictionary" have accounted for 80 %. Thus it can be seen that the study of Phonogram plays an important role in Chinese characters. Phonogram is composed of sound character and shape character, namely, sound symbols form an important aspect of sound character. Tonal sound symbols for the study of early Xu Shen "Dictionary" had first emerged. After several years of development, the sound character of the research has achieved great results, but the characters are evolving, in the same way phonetic sound of the word symbol on origin function is changing constantly, and simple shape of the ancient sound of the word can not reflect this change. Therefore, this article is based on previous studies, not only to indicate the origin of phonetic context and the well-known scholars to comb a detailed theory, regarding "Xinhua Dictionary" as the object of study by selecting the form of sound words in the dictionary and sound character. Screening these phonetic words reveals the modern form of phonetic sound symbols of indicating the origin of the characteristics and complexity, and also shows with the development of times, that the sound operator of the source function is gradually weakened, and by the modern time the range of phonetic symbols of indicating word origin has a narrower range than that in the ancient times. This article also in detail discusses some of the reasons why the phonetic symbols of indicating word origin becomes weakened. Therefore, it is obvious that one should have a clear and right understanding phonetic symbols of indicating word origin , which has an important effect on studying the Chinese characters , compiling the word dictionary and improving teaching the literacy of primary and secondary levels of education.
