In the history of modern poetry of China, the poet of DAI Wangshu is definitely an unique existence. Being the outstanding representative of modern poets of 1930s, DAI Wangshu stick to his own artistic ideal, pay attention to the construct of images, and enrich the meaning of poetry. In recent years, more and more researchers concern DAI Wangshu and his poetry creation. This paper tries to regard images as the starting point to study DAI Wangshu, and reappear the unordinary thought experiences of the poet.This paper would discuss the images of DAI Wangshu's poetry from the following four aspects. In the first part, starting from the main images of his poetry-tears, dreams, water, the poet's unique spiritual world and artistic world are discussed. In the second part, from the angles of tradition and modern times, the author explores the origin of the images, and puts forward there exist the distinctive similarities between the operation of images model of DAI Wangshu's poetry and the traditional poetry of ancient China, and some poems have accepted obviously the inspiration from the modernism poetry of the western. The mood and the sentiment formed from the choice of images show the unique production of DAI Wangshu who is the representative poet of "modernism". In the third part, the paper discusses the characteristics of DAI Wangshu's poems from the three aspects: the multi-meaning, lives, and combinatorial beauty of the images. In the fourth part, the author makes a comparison between the images of poetry between DAI Wangshu and BIAN Zhilin which give prominence to the characteristics of lyric poetry of DAI Wangshu.
