Chu Ci Ji Zhu (The Songs of Chu Commentary) is made of three parts, including Chu Ci Ji Zhu, Chu Ci Bian Zheng (Dialectics of The Songs of Chu) and Chu Ci Hou Yu (Words After The Songs of Chu), which for the first time regulated and published by Zhu Zai (Zhu Xi's son) in Jia Ding-Ten-Year after Zhu Xi ceased to be.Over two thousand years, the scholars agree that study on The Songs of Chu has gone through three periods. First, people created the way based on the guidance of the classics and centered on explanations of words to study on The Songs of Chu in Han Dynasty. In this period, Wang Yi's Chu Ci Zhong Ju (Syntactic And Semantic Analysis of The Songs of Chu) was the most famous piece on the study of The Songs of Chu. Second, in Song Dynasty, people began to study The Songs of Chu through a Confucian school of philosophy of the Song Dynasty, whose characteristic was to explain of the basic meaning of The Songs of Chu by comparing with classics. They opened up the visual field and sphere of study on The Songs of Chu. This period was the developing one in which Zhu Xi's Chu Ci Ji Zhu was a representative wright. From the 20th century, the study on The Songs of Chu began to make way into the third period in which the scholars studied by all kinds of ways. For example, the cultural, psychological religional and etc. It is important that the study on The Songs of Chu began to enter into the modern period. In the history of the lengthy study on The Songs of Chu, Zhu Ci Ji zhu takes over the important position, as the editor of recently published Chu Ci Ji Zhu in his Editing Correct Exposition said: " It carried forward the undertakings of the predecessor and opened up a new road for future after Wang Yi's Chu Ci Zhang Ju in Dong Han Dynasty and Hong Xing Zu 's Chu Ci Bu Zhu (Supplementary Comments of The Songs of Chu) in Song Dynasty. And it showed the turning point in the study on The Songs of Chu from the Han school of classical philology to the Song one." Because of this, I think that the choice of the topic for this thesis has significant meaning.I think that study on The Songs of Chu does not only include the works themselvesbut also all kinds of editions of comment which provide a lot of information. However, the later is usually neglected nowadays. Study on Chi CiJi Zhu is an example. Because of this phenomenon, my thesis study puts emphasis on comparator between Zhu's commentary and old ones and finds out what Zhu's commentary based on the old one, Contributes to the study of The Songs of Chu, and its influence on the later study of the decendents, I cannot elaborate because of my lack of capability. There were many editions of comments on The Songs of Chu in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is difficult to find out ties with Zhu's commentary because everyone's comment of the thesis significance was not the same.There are three parts in my thtsis. In the first part. I talk about how Chu Ci Ji Zhu took shape and its social and cultural cause. In the second part. I elaborate academic contribution, including Zhu Xi's discussiing about Qu Yuan's character in a perspective of his age, exclaining words of The Songs of Chu, assimiting and discarding chapter heading of The Songs of Chu. In the third part, from concrete works, I analyze how Zhu Xi dealed with the artistic skills of The Songs of Chu.
