On the basis of Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices, Eysenck Personality Questionaire and EMBU, the penwoman researched 536 students from 5 technical secondary schools in Xi'an. The analysis is as follows:1 .The reasoning ability and personality of technical secondary school students are closely related to how they are nurtured by their parents.2.The sex, family type, the degree of satisfaction towards life and parents' culture level have little influence on the students' reasoning ability where as which grades the students are in and what families the students come from, whether he or she is an only child and their fathers' occupations have great influence on the students' reasoning ability.3.The personality of technical secondary school students of different sexes, grades, family type, origins and whether he or she is an only child and their satisfaction degrees towards life as well as how they are nurtured by their parents are remarkably different.4.The results of the comparison of parents' culture level and fathers' occupations and how the children are nurtured by their parents show that the higher education the mothers have, the more parents interfere their children and the more emotion and denial fathers render their children, thus the students are relatively simple. The higher education the fathers have, the more mothers love, understand and interfere their children.Based on the above research the following suggestions are proposed:1 .Technical secondary schools should lay stress on the cultivation of the students' healthy personality, reinforce the psychological sanity work and offer various activities to accelerate the students to grow up healthily.2.It is suggested that technical secondary schools show more concerns towards the students coming from special families and parents take the children's needs into considerations before they make a crucial decision.3.It is suggested that the parents of an only child employ scientific approach to instruct their child instead of concerns without principle and interference without rationality.4.It is suggested that parents promote their own qualities and culture to build a good family environment for the sake of children's healthy growth.
