It is reported that among the more than 600 academics, there are no less than 200 ones which own industrial design specialty. However, we should know what has happened behind such phenomenon. Our design foundament is weak and we are in great need of hign level standard students. Some schools are far away from practising design. Some schools are short of mental training. Others are unable to do something creative. All these should be solved by comparison with characters between American and Chinese lessons.Economical knoledge is getting into the decisive element in the new era. Industrial design education make the education and society together by way of knowledge innovation. For a long time, we attach importance to the students' ability of mocking and remembering which limited their potential development. However, American play emphasis on the practice and innovation of knowledge. That's to say, it's important for us to analysis the difference between American and Chinese lessons systems.In the development of American industrial design education, they meet the costomes' and societies' needs so that they are mature very much. Industrial design in our society is still young and it's important to learn what we can learn what we can from all area. By differentiating the two counties' lessons character, we can do some favour for our country.There are three innovation in the thesis. Firstly, it's the first time that we compare the differences between the two countres systemly. Secondly, we bring out the notion that industrial design is connected closely to maturerature. Thirty, we set up the standard and crateria for lessons systems.
