Some west scholars brought forward Proto-lndustrialization Theory after inspecting the population and economy phenomena of European especially Britain during the early modern period. They discussed lots of reasons and significance of the appearance of Proto-lndustrialization. One of the important issues is that the population pressure is the main reason of the Proto-lndustrialization. In their opinion, the increasing of the population required the family handicraft industry, at the same time, the family handicraft industry also speeded up the population growth. So the relation of the people and land was changed. The paper discussed the connotation of the Proto-lndustrialization Theory and analyzed the relation between the population pressure and the rise of the rural industry. The paper thought the industrialization as the sign of rural industrial rise not only changed the population increasing pattern but also enriched the rural industry structure and improved the production skills & manage standard.
