The Korean Provisional Government (KPG) was an exile government established at Shanghai in 1919 based on the Korean 3.1 Independence Movement. From its establishment in 1919 to its dissolve in 1945, KPG experienced 27 years in China. During this period, it took China as its base undertaking a long and hard struggle to overthrow the Japanese colonial domination over Korea and restore Korean independence. The Chinese National Government (CNG) rendered concern and sympathy toward KPG from the very beginning. In every stage of the Korean movement for restoration and independence, CNG provided KPG with political, economic and military aids. CNG also made active efforts for Korea to regain its independence after the War and for the international community to recognize KPG.This paper explores and analyzes the CNG's supports and aids to KPG so as to make known the Sino-Korean relationship in this historical period better to the public.
