The Comparative Study On Chinese Documentary

Documentary is a kind of film or television program , which gathers material from real life and it also attracts our more and more attention. Because of the effects of our special political background, cultural environment and the media industry's practical conditions, we still have far to go on the study of documentary . Such perplexed problems as "the relation between documentary and propaganda film", "the relation between documentary and feature film" and " the relation between documentary and newsreel" are difficult to answer , and these unsolved problems also bring a lot of troubles to teaching ,studying and the making of documentary .By analyzing the features of documentary compared with propaganda film and newsreel ,the thesis makes some achievements in respect of the study of documentary's character , specialty , function and tendency .
