His varied techniques of comedy not only shows great charm of absolute music comedy to world people, but also influenced Mozart and Beethoven and the other's music compositions. Furthermore, he makes a great contribution to promote music language of the Viennese Classical School to be mature and perfect. Among music genres composed by Haydn, String Quartet was one of the most important. Because it not only run through the total music composition from beginning to end, but also reflected the whole composition process of him. Meanwhile, due to his efforts, String Quartet is possessed individual character and is deepened on content. His music style of comedy centered upon it, in which nobody else could compare with the assorted humor. In view of the above-mentioned facts and lack of researches in comedy music field at present, the thesis takes "on comedy in Haydn's music-with Haydn's String Quartets as case examples " as the research object.The main parts of the thesis are composed by five chapters. Chapter 1, ''brief introduction to aesthetic theory of comedy and comedy representations in music', which is further explaining its existence and special representation style and psychology of aesthetic appreciation on music comedy, under the basis on brief explanation to aesthetic theory such as meaning, essence and main expression form of comedy.Chapter 2, 'origins of Haydn's comedy style', which mainly elaborates the influence of the Enlightenment and Baroque's spirit and the language of opera buffa on Haydn's comedy music style's found on 18 century. Thus, to make certain that Haydn's comedy style influences his music composition deeply.Chapter 3, ''development course of Haydn s comedy music viewed from his String Quartets', which firstly explains the attitude and orientation on Haydn's String Quartet composition, then try to retrospect to composition course of Haydn's 68 String Quartets and the process that Haydn's comedy style founded and developed, so as to present in system how Haydn merges comedy to be an essential part in his music composition.Chapter 4, 'typical technique of comedy composition in Haydn's String Quartets', which aims for generalizing the technique of Haydn's typical comedy composition.
