The Comparative Sentence is an important and difficult grammar point in the TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other Languages). The error rate is very high of the comparative sentences which the foreign students use. They do not grasp various kinds of comparative ways in Chinese correctly. The comparative sentences mentioned in this thesis refer to sentences that containwords or expressions like "比","跟·····一样","有(没有)……这么(那么)","像……这么(那么)……","……不如……"和"越来越" According to thecharacteristics of the error sentences that foreign students use, we summarized up six kinds of error sentences. The thesis, according to the achievements about Chinese comparative sentences, systematically analyses and studies the reasons for the errors from these perspectives: syntax, semantics, pragmatics, foreign students' mother tongues and study ways. For example, foreign students only pay attention to the explicit structures of comparative sentences, but ignore the implicit semantic relation and pragmatic limitations when they study and use Chinese comparative sentences. This is the important reason why errors appear. Finally, according to the error analysis of foreign students, we offer some suggestions and plans of Chinese comparative sentence teaching.
