The spirit demand exists in the all process of our society. It is necessary for our life, andalso is a social phenomenon during our understanding the changes of society. As Yuanguirenpointed out in <>: the spirit demand of people is like the vitamin forflesh, the spirit activity without consciousness, logos, and will et al is life lacking of humanity. Marx has talked about the contents of spirit demand. From his point, the spirit demandrefers to yearn for science, yearn for knowledge, demands for morality and development ofoneself. Especially in our social democracy country, production purpose decided the socialproduction to meet the increasing substance and culture, which is the nature of democracysociety. As Dingxiaoping talked about in the beginning of reformation and opening doors:when we improve the social productivity, we should reform and perfect social economicsystem and political system. At the same time we should develop the socialism democracyand perfect socialism legal system. When we develop material civilization, we shouldimprove our science culture level, develop a variety of cultural life, and develop socialismspirit civilization. However, with the reformation and opening doors much attention was puton the discussion of material demand, while the spirit demand received less attention. Theanswer to the spirit demand fixed attention on the relation between spirit demand and materialneed.
