The Defect Of Modern Poem

The essay is aimed to review and discuss the defect character of Chinese contemporary poem for a period of thirty years in last century that lack of systemic research. The main purpose of this essay is to review the different styles of poem, several famous poets and their magnum opus during deferent periods in that special period, to conclude the reason of defect of modern Chinese poem and to provide their future development some help suggestions. There are six sections in this essay: introduction, chapter 1 for the language of new poem, chapter 2 for the form construction of new poem, chapter 3 for ideology of function of new poem, chapter 4 for the puzzle of new poem and conclusion.The methodology of this essay mainly focus on the review and research on abundant of sample poems and investigation on the change of language of new poem in last century.From the conclusion of essay, the importance of contemporary poem for Chinese literature in modern times can be found. At the same time, the defect problem of contemporary poem still existing and is facing continuing debate and controversy.
