Comparative Study Of Chinese And Korean Abbreviation

Abbreviated phenomenon has already existed in the language for a long time, and it is also the common phenomenon in the language. With the development of the social politics and economy, in order to adapt to the efficiency requirement of the information society, a great number of abbreviations appeared in the countries, witch drew a lot of attention in the academic circles.Using the theory method of comparative linguistics, this thesis does a comparative analysis between Chinese and Korean abbreviations.Firstly, this thesis explains the general situation of Chinese and Korean abbreviations and describes the categories of them. On the basis of the comparison, it discusses the constitutional principle.Secondly, this thesis develops classification in Chinese and Korean abbreviation from the origin of language, the general use and the significance and so on.Finally, this thesis discusses the constitutional style of Chinese and Korean abbreviations, finds out similarities and differences between them, and then analyses the feature of them.
