Study On Numeral Abbreviation In Contemporary Chinese

In the study of contemporary Chinese vocabulary,Chinese abbreviation has been very successful.As a type of Chinese abbreviation-numeral abbreviation-is a very valuable research topic,but so far,Scholars have not paid enough attention to numeral abbreviation,and the specialized research is not enough and perfect.On the basis of absorbing and drawing on the previous research results,this paper takes the contemporary numeral abbreviation as the research object,and collects the corpus from the diachronic and synchronic aspects.It uses the methods of description and explanation,the comparative analysis,the combination of theory and practical corpus,from the characteristics,the relationship between the original and the abbreviated form,cause of motivation,pragmatics and norms to explore the point of view.Contemporary numeral abbreviation is a common form of abbreviation,and it extracts the same morpheme or semantic component of the word(or phrase,sentence),and adds numerals to constitute a new form.The string of words be extracted tend to be structurally identical or similar,relevant or similar in meaning.From the synchronic level,the syllable,form and structure of the contemporary numeral abbreviation have their own characteristics:in the syllable,the main features is that the two-syllable,the three-syllable and the four-syllable are main;in the structure,it mainly includes three kinds of structure:the positive structure,the parallel structure and the subject-predicate structure.Through the comparative analysis,it is found that the new forms of the contemporary numeral abbreviations generated by the abbreviation are closely related to the originals,mainly in terms of structure and semantic function.In terms of structure,structural relationship between contemporary numeral abbreviation and the originals has changed,with non-correspondence.In terms of semantic function,numeral abbreviation and its originals can be substituted in the concept sense,but they do not have conservation in terms of syntactic function,and some contemporary numeral abbreviations appear lexicalization.There are two reasons for the emergence and development of contemporary numeral abbreviation,On one hand,the principles of language economy and validity,cognitive metonymy,the restriction of the law of Chinese syllable development and so on are internal factors.On the other hand,It is subject to changes in social environment,Han Chinese Numeral culture and other external factors.Contemporary numeral abbreviation has a high pragmatic value,its use range is hierarchical,and has a certain dependence on the context,but also has a specific pragmatic rhetoric function.The specification of numerical abbreviation should adhere to the principle of simplicity,the principle of context restriction and the principle of non-ambiguity.In the pragmatic practice process,some contemporary numeral abbreviations should be guided with the necessary standard.
