"YIGAI" is a collective book, written by Liu Xizai, about literature in his life in the late Qing dynasty and it is another general overview on all kinds of literary styles after "The Literary Mind And The Carving Of Dragons". The book inherited the traditional poem forms, word structures and styles, comment on poems in details, and put forward the various rhetoric characteristics such as rhetoric features of writing, poem, descriptive prose interspersed with verse, Chinese poetic genre, drama, eight-part essay etc. It also discussed about the different literary style relations, the rhetoric theories, composition and sentence structure, word uses and " the key junctures". Its research achievements on the literary regularity of poems, rhetoric features of writing, dramas, descriptive prose interspersed with verse, Chinese poetic genre and calligraphies had been promoted to a new stage. It is a great book that gathered the ancient rhetoric study in the final stage of the feudalistic society in our country and holds a very important position in the rhetoric history in our country.
