Research On The Self-esteem,Social Support And The Relativity Between Them Of Poverty College Students

The present research carries out group tests by adopting the "self-esteem inventory"and "social support inventory"among poverty college students,and aims at an exploration into the character of self-esteem,the condition of social support and the relativity of them.This research combines psychological tests and interviewing among the poverty college students,with the scores derived from accurate mathematical statistic processing,it arrives at the present significant conclusions:(1)Between poverty college students and non-poverty college students,there exists a significant difference in the global self-esteem,the general self-esteem of social-oriented,the interpersonal self-esteem of individual-oriented, the interpersonal self-esteem of social-oriented.(2)Among poverty college students, there exists a significant sex,grade difference in the global self-esteem, the general self-esteem of social-oriented, the general self-esteem of individual-oriented, the interpersonal self-esteem of individual-oriented,the family self-esteem of individual-oriented,the moral self-esteem of social-oriented, the family self-esteem of social-oriented.Whereas no notable difference is founde in area(city\country) and subject.(3) Among poverty college students,in the physiological self-esteem of individual-oriented,no significant difference is found in grade,area and subject,while a significant difference is discovered in sex.(4) Among poverty college students,in the psychological self-esteem of individual-oriented, the moral self-esteem of individual-oriented, the interpersonal self-esteem of social-oriented, the psychological self-esteem of social-oriented and the physiological self-esteem of social-oriented,no notable difference is founde in sex, grade,area and subject.(5) Between poverty college students and non-poverty college students,there exists a significant difference in the objective support and the support application.No significant difference is discovered concerning the subjective support.(6) Among poverty college students,in the objective support and the subjective support, there exists a significant sex,grade difference,while no notable difference is found in area and subject.(7) Among poverty college students,in the support application, no significant difference is found in sex, area and subject,while a significant difference is discovered in grade.(8) Among poverty college students,there exists a higher positive correlation with the self-esteem and social support.
