A Comparative Study On The Dialects Of Modern Chinese Dictionary And Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary

We take the dialects which are collected by Modern Chinese Dictionaryand Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary as the object of this thesis,focusing on a comparison about the dialects of the four edition ModernChinese Dictionary with Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary, and thedialects of the four edition Modern Chinese Dictionary with the fiveedition Modern Chinese Dictionary. This thesis analyzes several questionsbeing involved in collecting and processing the quantity and the standardof dialects, gives several comments about Chinese medium languagedictionary how should collect dialects. This thesis altogether includessix parts.The first part is the introduction. Simply introduces the present studyand the significance of dialects, elaborates the source of the materialsand the main content.The second part mainly defines dialect, compares dialect with "FangYuan Ci". Takes Chinese Dialect Dictionary as reference material todivide 18 districts for dialect areas, in order to inspect the area ofdialect and study the use scope of dialect;refers to the relatedclassified method to divide the dialects into three kinds, they are theuse scope is very broad, the use scope is broad and the use scope is verynarrow.The third part compares the dialects in the four edition Modern ChineseDictionary and Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary. In this part, firstcompares the differences and similarities in collecting dialects of thetwo dictionaries as well as discoveries some basic facts from this, thendiscusses the processing differences about some dialects in the twodictionaries, finally from the use scope, the supplement value and thefrequency of use compares the two dictionaries how to collect dialects.The fourth part inspects the inheritance and development of the fiveedition Modern Chinese Dictionary to the four edition Modern ChineseDictionary. First summarizes the adjustment situation of the five editionModern Chinese Dictionary to the four edition Modern Chinese Dictionary,as well as discoveries some questions from this. Afterwards from the usescope, the supplement value and the frequency of use inspects theadjustment of dialects of the five edition Modern Chinese Dictionary tothe four edition Modern Chinese Dictionary.The fifth part puts forward some comments in collecting dialects of theChinese medium language dictionary.The sixth part is a conclusion.
