From October 1990 to December 1992, Gansu Archeology and Cultural Relics Research Institute unearthed the Xuanquanzhi (悬泉置) relics of Han dynasty digging out lots of Archeological finds,among which the most important ones are Xuanquan Imperial Edict ( 《悬泉诏书》 ) that was written on a mud wall in Chinese ink and more than 20000 bamboo slips and silk books. Xuaquan Imperial Edict is the perfect one that we have ever seen so that in the summer of 1996 it was defined a national treasure by the experts from national cultural relic bureau.Before that we know little about the structure ,spread and the relevant phraseology about the early Imperial Edict, for we do not have the firsthand materials ,in the ancient historical records there are only the main bodies and few materials are found about others.The Xuanquan Imperial Edict,which is a firsthand material ,is conducive to help us to do the research in this field .The Xuanquan Imperial Edict is full of academic value in the research of these fields :archivistics ,linguistic, philology, history and ecology jurisprudence.In this paper the author makes a survey on the background of the Xuanquan Imperial Edict,its structure and the author also tries to get a general Conclusion of Imperial Edict in Han Dynasty.Studying from the point of philology,history and jurisprudence,the author would like to make the national treasure' value achieved. The author also takes the "Yueling Wushitiao " as an introduction and compiles Yueling in other documents and classifies and arranges them just trying to make clear the influence of Yueling and other documents of this kind on the politics of Han Dynasty.
