Contrastive Research Of Logic Cohesive Relationship In Chinese And Uyghur Texts

Text is the ultimate linguistic unit in any activity having to do with communicating in language. Logic is one kind of important cohesive devices .It is used to simplify the text, avoid repetition and to make the text itself more cohesive as structure is concerned, so that it can be regarded as a whole. Since Chinese and Uyghur have their own feature in using logic cohesive devices to create texts, the contrastive study of logic cohesive is of great significance to second language teaching and translation practice.The thesis is made up of five parts.Part 1 is the introduction of the thesis. In this part, the necessity, significance of study and the achievements by some scholars are introduced. The data and the study method are also included.Part 2 is Concept introduction and definition. It gives a brief account of some basic concepts in text linguistics, such as text, cohesion, cohesion and coherence, etc.Part 3 is about the purposes and classification of logic cohesion.Part 4 is Statistical analysis. First of all, statistical numbers of logic cohesion are obtained from close examining of four texts of Chinese and Uyghur. According to the results of the statistics, the author made a detailed contrastive study of the differences and similarities of the logic cohesion used in Chinese and Uyghur. Then theoretical analysis of the differences is made and the reasons for these differences are presented as well. Through the contrastive analysis of logic cohesion, it is found that there are similarities and differences in logic cohesion in both Chinese and Uyghur.Pare 5 is the conclusion. This part not only summarizes the differences and similarities of logic cohesion used in Chinese and Uyghur to form a text but also points out the limitation of the thesis.Part3 and Part4 is the main part of the thesis.
