The Comparison Of The Characters Explanation In Xin Hua Dictionary And Modern Chinese Wordbook

The modern Chinese dictionary and the wordbook to the characters explanation processing difference are a question for discussion which in the dictionary study little involves, this article synthesis utilization modern Chinese related theory and the method in lexics, the grammatological, semantics and the dictionary study, we analysis the 3,500 frequently used characters explanation in "Xin Hua Dictionary" 10th edition and "Modern Chinese Dictionary" 5th edition , and at the same time we use the measurement to carry on the statistics, involving the explaintion of the characters, the explaintion of the words, the dealing of meaning item, the explains contains the character , our goal is to inquire the differences to the characters explanation about the modern Chinese dictionary and the modern Chinese wordbook, and we hoped our study is helpful in compiles to the dictionary in the theory and in the practice.
