The upper Minjiang river include the basin of main and branch rivers from Songpan to Dujiangyan, which is about 24,950 K m~2. Because of the unique geographic position and historical development, the upper Minjiang river is a key ethnic migration corridor and meanwhile is the political and cultural frontier for the central government. As the reasons mentioned above, the upper Minjiang river affected deeply the ethnic migration, cultural communication,wars...... of the Chengdu plain, the Bashu area, the Southwest of China, andthe connection between the Yellow river basin and the Yangtze river basin in history. Researchers from different disciplines have been paying much attention to this area, this paper tried to discuss the culture manifestation and the environmental cause from the culture-landscape point of view.The upper Minjiang river is a unique nature area, with the dry valley, complex geological structure and abundant of bio-diversity. The history of culture-landscape can be originated from the Neolithic Age. With the development of environment and history, the ethnic migration and settlement became more and more frequently, which created plentiful wonderful culture-landscapes.
