Culture is a particular phenomenon of human society, reflected both in the way of living and thinking, the world view and in the aspect of art. Nations were isolated from each other for the difference of culture. However, since the beginning of industrial revolution, the tendency of globalization swept around the world with the rapid advancement of transportation and telecommunication. The opportunities for cultural interaction increased gradually, resulting in friction and collision between different cultures. What cultural globalization brings is the synthesis of cultures as well as cultural conflict. Except the positive attitude towards cultural globalization, it also meets resistance by some traditional, conservative cultures. Cultural conflict becomes an important factor in international conflict. The questions, like what is the relationship between cultural difference and conflict, causality or probability; how to handle cultural conflict, can be discussed within the framework of intercultural communication. The first of all is to realize the equal relationship between different cultures, be aware and tolerant of the difference, thus providing a premise for the resolution of cultural conflict, on which culture can be incorporated into foreign policy, both strengthening the political influence of one country and constructing a harmonious international relationship.
