Research On The Cultural Soft Power Of China Under The Background Of Globalization

With the rapid development of globalization in economy and information, cultural soft power has become one of the most important indicators in comprehensive national power. Under the background of globalization, the construction of cultural soft power is also a significant indicator for evaluating level of development in different countries and regions.Thus, to keep socialism with Chinese characteristics surviving and developing, it is necessary to realize the importance of cultural soft power. Since reform and opening up, cultural soft power construction of China has made remarkable achievements that performs at exploiting a path of building socialism with Chinese characteristics; diplomatic theories peace get recognition all over the world; cultural propaganda efforts have been strengthened and better meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people and other aspects. At the same time, there are also some shortcomings in the construction of cultural soft power. For example, the core value lacks the leadership on diversified ethos; the western strategy of cultural colonization exerts an impact on China’s political system and ideology; the excellent traditional culture fails to be converted into reality completely; an anomy exists in the populace’s cultivation and moral standards; there is not sufficient innovation capability in China’s international image. Therefore, an exploration to the theory and development strategy of cultural soft power has become a major task under the background of globalization. Based on this, we must first strengthen the construction of hard power, soft power and moderate cultural development, more attention should be paid to lead the core values of diversity and consensus of social thought, and it is necessary to achieve the country’s image of innovation, while we also continue to stimulate the vitality of cultural development in order to promote cultural innovation. Only when we design and plan from hard power to soft power comprehensively, can China’s cultural soft power only be really improved.
