Comments On Chinese Character And The Chinese Character Explanation Within The Chinese Culture Research

Aiming at the phenomenon of casual Chinese character explanation in the great upsurge of Chinese character research, this paper analyzes the causesof "character explanation" from the angle of related subjects — Chinesecharacters and Chinese character cultures; the paper also uses the achievements of Chinese character symbol research for reference and applies the method of contrast to analyze the principles which should be followed within the two courses. The paper points out that the Chinese character within the new Chinese character culture should be based on the scientific application of Chinese characters knowledge. It also believes that the correct application of Chinese character research is a good guidance not only to inheriting and developing the traditional Chinese culture but to the basic Chinese character education.
