Thinking Foundation Concerned With The Value And Evaluation Of Person

The major issue that this essay discussed is how to get enlightenment form Marx'idea about human and value of human in the contemporary situation of value crisis, to re-establish the criterion of value which could meet requirements of development of present time-person. We ought to adopt the perspective of unity of historical and logical study. By the criticizing and inheriting of the value criterion in history and by considering the requirement of present time people's surviving and development, we will re-establish the criterion of how to evaluate persons themselves.From the angle of historical consideration, we can see that people always adopt and choose the criterion of evaluation with the thinking mode of metaphysics, they always choose a kind of absolute criterion of person. This perspective of choosing is available and it could provide a soled support of the meaning of person's life under certain historical background. But because the value criterion people adopted is of the property of abstract, final and eternal, it makes reverses of people's life. Modern and post-modern thinkers get to recognize this point, they propose that no value criterion is supreme, and that people is supposed to be liberated from the absolute value criterion. They intend eliminate the forceful perspective of choosing value criterion, their ideas are of active meaning for critics of the traditional, monism, absolute value criterion. However, because the above idea is opposed to the universality of value criterion, and it exaggerates the relativity of value criterion, it produces a kind of existential worry which is very hard to be undertaken by people's lives. The two perspectives of choosing value criterion mentioned above both play positive function for the survival and development of people, but all of them fall into partial understanding of human essence, they are not beneficial for the realization and all-round development of persons.The world we live in now request a universal value criterion, but we are short of this kind of criterion. Then how to find a kind of value criterion which is available for person's pluralistic choosing of value criterion and is also of the property of universal, this is an important issue for our times. It is also the issue that the psychologist Frank considered the paradox of human spiritual life as"the pain of meaningless life". The reason why my paper is concerned with the issue of value criterion is also based on this consideration. We expect that in consideration of human value and evaluation criterion, we will not concern only partial value of persons, we should concern the all-round development of person's value. Only in this way, our ideas could play active function for the survival and development of persons themselves.The criterion which fit the development of human essence must be based on the considerations of the all-round development of persons, it is also based on the observation of human activities for survival. Marx once said:"persons themselves are the supreme nature of human being."Only to consider the all-round development as the supreme value of persons, then we could make our value criterion based on realistic activity of persons: only if we view human value and the evaluation criterion by ways of dialectics, then we could realize the all-round development of persons. This perspective of considering value criterion is adopted by more and more people. Our focus is changed from taking economic construction as major task into taking all-round development of persons as major task, from considering increment of material fortune first into considering harmonious society first. Therefore, to take all-round development of persons as the supreme value criterion is legal for present time-china.The first part of my paper is used to analyze the meaning of value criterion in people's life of survival and development. The second part of my paper is used to clear up the double aspects influence of the value criterion that people establish in different period of history. The third part is used to present Marx'idea about human value and evaluate criterion. And we also discuss the enlightenment of Marx'philosophical turning. In the end of my paper, I present my conclusion and reflection concerning the establishment of new value criterion.
