| Yang Xiong is a famous litterateur philosopher and linguist in Xi Han dynasty. His《Fa Yan》is a influential writing of philosophy in Han dynasty. This book imitate《The Analects》become quotation style, which is influenced by poetic essay in Han dynasty and appear dualization . It can reflect trend of polyphonic development and characteristics. This article wants to study polyphonic words of《Fa Yan》in order to discuss norm and characteristics of polyphonic words in Han dynasty.This article includes three parts:Firstly, briefly introduce initial condition of Yang Xiong and《Fa Yan》.Secondly, establish standards of polyphonic words and count its numbers, according to its methods of words formation to classify polyphonic words of《Fa Yan》, discuss influence of dualization trend to polyphonic words of《Fa Yan》.Lastly, sum up the development of characteristics and inheriting of polyphonic words of《Fa Yan》to early times.
