Over the past ten years, Korea's cultural products have developed rapidly and promoted Korea's cultural competitiveness, which made them the focus of attention. Based on the overview of the relative theories of cultural product and cultural competitiveness, the thesis takes a general view of the popularity of Korea's cultural products and the impacts they make, and analyses the reasons of how the cultural products promote the development of Korea's cultural competitiveness.Cultural competitiveness, which covers aspects of both "hard power" and "soft power", plays an important role in today's competition of comprehensive national power. Mass cultural product is the carrier of culture, as well as the commodities in market. It can enhance a country's cultural appeal, and bring economic benefits at the same time. So it, no doubt, plays a positive role in the growth of cultural competitiveness. Korea attaches great importance to the development of cultural competitiveness. Its cultural products, which enjoy great popularity not only in Asia but also in the whole world, have enormous cultural influence and create up to hundreds of millions US dollars in earnings. Korea's cultural products have great impacts on the development of its cultural competitiveness, mainly reflected in their promotion on Korean culture and their manifestation of the inner connotation of Korean modern society, as well as the Korean government's policy support for the development of its cultural products and the relative industries.
