| Purpose The impoverished university students are the people whose families can not afford the school fees and the lowest living expenses for their poor economy. They endure huge pressure such as economical,life,employment in their study life, which cause psychological problems at different levels. Compared with the ordinary university students, the impoverished students have a significant difference in the aspect of force symptom,sensitive relationship,hostile,biased factor. In recent years, there are many domestic investigations and studies on the healthy condition of impoverished students'psychological, whereas a few are performed in the Xinjiang universities. In order to understand the personality and the psychological condition of the Xinjiang impoverished students, we have selected 7 Xinjiang colleges, which have the representation, and investigated the undergraduated students. So we can analysis and research the impoverished students'psychology problems, explore some effective methods, carry on the ideological education and the psychological guidance target-oriented to them, and provide more intensive care and help for those impoverished university students. Methods According to the standard of family income <2000 or≥2000 per year, we divide the university students into impoverished group and non-impoverished group,choose the layer and cluster sampling methods, select 3000 impoverished and non-impoverished university students respectively of 7 universities of Xinjiang (Xinjiang University,Xinjiang Medical University,Xinjiang Normal University,Xinjiang Agricultural University,Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics,Shihezi University,Ili Normal college)as our objects who are full time students in various grades and specialized in all subjects. There are 2763 Effective questionnaires, and lives impoverished has 757 people, 27.4% of investigated the population, non-lives impoverished has 2006 people, accounts for 72.6%. More comprehensive measured that looked up has lived impoverished with the non-impoverished fresh psychological condition level.
