Chinese traditional culture includes a lot of excellent contents ,filial duty system of which is one the important parts Filial duty thoughts are not only in the center of traditional ethics of the Confucian school but also in the ethics of Buddhism . Filial duty thoughts are very useful for Chinese traditional ethics—morality to carry and develop for today's morality.The thesis attempts to discuss the same and different aspects of the filial duty systems in the Confucian school and Buddhism. Study their essence of filial duty systems by vertical way , meanwhile ,tell the their same and different thoughts in then by comparing with each other It will make their filial duty systems clear and make their purpose of the essence known.So the thesis can help understand the Chinese Buddhism's ethics system which was from India in the ancient times and Chinese Confucian school's ethics system, which can tell us their developing history .The thesis also attempt to make up for the defect that the early theses only study one of the filial duty systems of the Confucian school and Chinese Buddhism or only compare and study by little concerning.
