since May 1, 1995, we started a five-day working, it means most of the people have 1 / 3 of the time spent in leisure. College students have much more leisure time than the others. Here, the author explores the characteristics of college students'leisure motivation, the relationship of leisure motivation and satisfaction, and whether leisure motivation can predict their subjective well-being by leisure satisfaction as a medi-variable.The method of structural equation model is used to explore the relationship among leisure motivation, leisure satisfaction and subjective well-being. The scales of leisure motivation, leisure satisfaction and subjective well-being are used, and 839 college students from four universities are investigated in this study. The results are:(1) There is difference between boys and girls, boys have higher interjected regulation than girls; students from cities have higher identity regulation than rural students; there is significant difference for different grades at the factor of amotivation, external regulation and intrinsic motivation, and sophomores have higher amotivation and external regulation, senior students have higher intrinsic motivation; students in science have higher interjected regulation and intrinsic motivation.(2) There is significant negative correlation between amotivation, external regulation and leisure satisfaction, while there is significant positive correlation between identity regulation, intrinsic motivation, some factors of introverted regulation and leisure satisfaction; there is significant positive correlation between leisure satisfaction and subjective well-being; there is significant negative correlation between amotivation, external regulation and subjective well-being, while significant positive correlation between identity regulation, intrinsic motivation and subjective well-being. (3)There is significant negative correlation between amotivation, external regulation and every factor of leisure satisfaction; there is significant positive correlation between identity regulation, intrinsic motivation and leisure satisfaction; there is still significant positive correlation between introjected regulation and some factors of leisure satisfaction, except relaxation and body factors; There are significant positive correlation between every factor of leisure satisfaction and subjective well-being.(4)By the test of structural equation model, leisure motivation can predict their subjective well-being by leisure satisfaction as a medi-variable.
