Nowadays, people-oriented education concept has been understood commonly in both domestic and overseas education field. The common understanding of this educational concept is based on that people have been realized that education should be positioned in the development of "human" and returned to the original meaning. Facing the present situation that our education more and more focuses on the master of knowledge and the improvement of techniques, Some negative factors aroused from it has become educational problems that we can't evade. While people-oriented education just at this moment presents it superiority as individual humane spirit and dominant strength of development.Referring to dance, people commonly consider it as an artistic form with strong profession, thus in the past the cultivation of dance personnel is accomplished by professional artistic schools. Its educational concept, educational content, and educational manner all follow the principle of cultivating professional dancers. As our higher education and teaching is in the important transition with the influence of the social environment. Adjusting the distribution of professions reasonably to fit into the demand of personnel in the society is an important part of deepening education reform and optimizing development. Hence the professional education of dance in comprehensive universities not only opens up a large field for higher education, but also releases space for further development of dance art, above all provides a good platform for the cultivation of inter-disciplinary talents of dance art.Because the professional education of dance in comprehensive universities has not developed for a long time, as a new field of the cultivation of dance personnel, first of all, we should find the right direction in education concept, in order to make full use of our own advantages and features in education and teaching to achieve the best effect. Based on the human-oriented education's theory and on account of the appendix method as well as experience summarization, this essay re-recognizes the concept of human-oriented teaching method in a scientific and rational way by consulting the books in terms of education, psychology, philosophy ,art and the concerning journals as well as periodicals; in addition, it emphasizes on analyzing the suitability, application and significance of human-oriented education in dancing majors' in Chinese comprehensive universities. It is expected that the art of dance and the contemporary dancers could take the initiatives in their career pursuit; could display their talents comprehensively, harmoniously and continuously in the democratic and active learning atmosphere; ultimately, could achieve the enhancement on the modernized level.
